This is a truly touching, endearing, and enjoyable children's book about a lonely puppy who wants a boy of his own. It is very well illustrated. My students enjoyed the twist on the the usual 'boy wants a puppy' plot. Wonderful, happy ending. I used this story as a springboard for story writing ...
